Joint Ventures are a common way to attract equity capital and to leverage your own equity. Joint Ventures can be structured in a variety of ways based upon the Sponsor’s and Investor’s objectives. This class will focus on JV structures that provide a “promote” to Sponsor as well as various fees paid to sponsor. It will help students better understand the typical JV language, terms, risks and rewards.

Brad Blake

CEO, Founder & Managing Member
He has been the CEO of a public REIT, founder and managing member of two premiere commercial real estate companies including his current company Blake Griggs Properties and been a consultant for two major institutional commercial real estate companies.

He has been a guest teacher at the Stanford Graduate School Business and U.C. Berkeley MRED real estate programs. He is a past trustee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has served on numerous Urban Land Institute (ULI) and industry panels.
